I've been singing since the early 50's growing up in philadelphia, learning from the standards that preceeded rock & roll. In the 60's I sang doo-wop on the street corners with the 'gang'. I started my first band in 1961 and began a career that spanned several years, including a recording session in Nashville in 1965. My 'day job' was in electronics, several years of which I was employed in the Silicon Valley and later with the FAA in Atlantic City. I totally quit live performing in 1990, and in 1997 a friend in Philly who is a recording engineer and musician invited me to the studio to cut some demos. That hooked me! I purchased some recording equipment and set up my little home studio. I presently record with a Tascam DP03 Digital Portastudio console, an Alesis nanocompressor, an ART mic tube amp, an Alesis Microverb 4 effects processor and Samson C01 and C03 condenser mics. For vr's and key shifting I use the Pioneer MA9. I don't record with software; old habits are hard to break, lol! Karaoke has been a blessing as it's allowed me to continue doing what I love best; singing. I thank all of you who have supported me here on TIK. You are a talented bunch of great folks.
